e-halo Release Notes - 24th April 2024, RC 2.0.1

What's New?

New feature notification: Multi-factor authentication

When you login to e-halo, you will see a ‘New feature notification’ informing you that multi-factor authentication (MFA) is now available in e-halo.

You will only see this notification once and no action is required, however, we suggest all our users enable MFA to improve their security.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

Users can now enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) in their e-halo profile for extra security.

MFA is a second authentication factor in addition to your username and password. We recommend that all e-halo users enable MFA, as it will make your account more secure and keep your data protected.

To enable MFA in your e-halo profile, log into e-halo, click on your avatar on the top right of the screen and select the ‘My profile’ option:

Your profile page will popup:

On your profile page you will see a new ‘Profile’ section where you will find the MFA option. To enable it, just click on the toggle button.

Please note that multi-factor authentication is mandatory for some organisations, if this is the case in your organisation, then MFA will automatically be enabled in your profile and you will not be allowed to disable it, it will show as a ‘read-only’ field.

MFA initial setup

When you log into e-halo for the first time after MFA has been enabled in your profile, the system will ask you to set it up.

A setup screen will appear after you enter your username and password. Just follow the instructions on the screen and enter your one-time code.

You will only need to do the setup one time after the MFA has been enabled. Next time you log into e-halo, it will ask you for the one-time code.

The one-time code will need to be entered every time you log into e-halo.

Please note: if MFA is disabled and then re-enabled in your profile, you will need to do the setup process again.

If you wish to enable MFA for your entire company, please contact our support team.
