e-halo Release Notes - 25th February 2026, RC 2.8

What's New?

Banned components: ability to accept bans

We have introduced the option to accept bans in e-halo.

Currently, e-halo blocks users from submitting and approving components and/or Bills of Materials with bans.

For example, if a component’s specification has attributes that are banned in their market of sale and a user tries to submit the component, e-halo will inform the user of the ban and block the component’s submission. Users cannot submit components until they remove all banned attribute(s) from the component’s specification.

This ‘block’ can be an issue for retailers with big markets of sale, like the USA, because the risks and bans are based on worse case scenarios and a component banned in ‘state A’ might not be banned and be sold in ‘state B’.

The ability to accept bans will give retailers the option to decide if they want to progress with the banned component or not.

When the ‘Accept Bans’ feature flag is on:

Users will not be blocked from submitting and/or confirming a component with banned attributes, however, they will have to review and accept all bans before the component can be submitted and/or confirmed:

The bans will also be detailed on the component’s compliance tab:

And the compliance tab of any Bills of Materials the component is linked to:

Bans will also have to be accepted before a Bill of Materials can be approved:

If you are a retailer and would like to activate the ‘Accept bans’ feature, please speak to your Aura representative.

Bills of Materials: remove ‘sale units’ fields (optional)

We have introduced the option to hide the ‘sale units’ fields from Bills of Materials.

This change will give retailers the option to decide if they want ‘sale units’ being captured on their Bills of Materials or not.

If you are a retailer and would like to hide the ‘sale units’ fields from your Bills of Materials, please speak to your Aura representative.

Product Details page: Addition of ‘on sale SKUs’ card

We have introduced an ‘On Sale SKUs’ card on the product details page to make this information available at a glance.

Supersede SKU: Ability to supersede a cancelled SKU

We have introduced the ability to supersede a cancelled SKU to allow users to ‘replace’ a SKU that was not progressing or was approved in error.

Using the supersede functionality will allow users to link the SKUs together, for example, users will now know that ‘SKU 1’ was cancelled because it will no longer be going ahead and was replaced/superseded by ‘SKU 2’.

Updates and Bug Fixes:

  • We have enhanced the ‘Complete component’ task by making the ‘save’ button a standalone button. Previously it was under the ‘options’ button.
  • We have updated the help text in the ‘Attached Component Group(s)’ page to make the instructions on each step more comprehensible.
  • We have enhanced the task completion process so that after a user completes a ‘Create Bill of Materials’ task, they are immediately directed to the new ‘Complete Bill of Materials’ task, instead of back to the task page.
  • We have enhanced the ‘Complete component’ task so that when a component with risks is submitted, the risks are flagged to the user. Previously the risks were only flagged at the ‘Confirm component’ stage.
  • We enhanced the functionality of the ‘Create Bill of Materials’ task so that when the user selects the ‘Copy and amend from an existing Bill of Materials’ option, they have the option to select Bills of Materials that are not currently linked to any products.
  • We have enhanced the SKUs on and off sale functionality to allow users to add on and off sale dates in the past (before the date the SKU was created in the system).
  • We have enhanced the SKU tab in the product and Bill of Materials pages so that if the SKU has a name, the name will be displayed in the tab.
  • Fixed the issue where users were able to select ‘cancelled’ products when creating a new brief.
  • Fixed the issue where the filters in the Component Hub were not working correctly.
  • Fixed the issue where the incorrect ‘round’ was displayed in a Bill of Materials if the Bill of Materials was created by copying an existing one and then later rejected.
