Introduction
In e-halo, we regularly update our Recyclability, At Risk/Banned materials and other legislative/packaging calculation services to ensure the results we provide to our users are aligned with the most up to date legislation and guidance.
These updates can sometimes result in new mandatory fields being added to a component specification. Any new fields will be applied to all new and in progress Bills of Materials.
If new fields have been added to any components linked to your ‘In Progress’ Bill of Materials, e-halo will ensure this new information is captured by doing checks on the following tasks:
Confirm Component
If completing 'Confirm Component', e-halo will validate the information on the component specification. If there are any mandatory fields missing, you can see them in the validation summary at the top of the form. You will not be able to complete the task until all the mandatory information has been added to the specification form.
The fields can be completed by clicking on the 'Edit' button and saving the changes.
Complete Bill of Materials
If completing a 'Complete Bill of Materials' or 'Approve Bill of Materials' task, e-halo will validate the information on every component linked to the Bill of Materials.
If there are any mandatory fields missing during a 'Complete Bill of Materials' task, a validation pop-up will show you which components are missing fields. Clicking on the 'Edit Components' button will kick off a new 'Complete Component' task for each component in the pop-up; the task will be assigned to the user that submitted the component and allow them to complete the new mandatory fields.
The components will have to be re-submitted and re-confirmed before the Bill of Materials can be submitted to the retailer for approval (as per the normal process).
Approve Bill of Materials
If there are any mandatory fields missing during a 'Approve Bill of Materials' task, the verdict modal will have a verdict of rejected for the Bill of Materials and for all components with missing fields. This verdict cannot be amended.
You will be able to select a verdict for all components that are not missing mandatory information (as per existing functionality).
The Bill of Materials cannot be approved if any of their components are missing mandatory fields.
A 'Complete Component' task will be kicked off for all components missing information.
