- Retailer users have the ability to archive products and SKUs
Archive Products
Retailer users will have the ability to archive products to indicate that a product had previously been on sale but will no longer be sold.
Products can only be archived if they have at least one ‘off sale’ or ‘archived’ SKU.
If the product has any SKUs ‘in progress’, ‘available for sale’ or ‘on sale’, the product cannot be archived. To archive it, the users must wait until the SKUs are ‘off sale’ or, if the SKUs are not progressing, they must be cancelled before the product can be archived.
When a product doesn’t meet the criteria to be archived, the ‘archive’ button will be disabled.
Note: if a product has never been on sale and will not be progressing, the product should be ‘cancelled’, not archived.
How-to:
- To archive a product, find the product you would like to archive and click on the product’s ‘options’ button. If the product can be archived, the ‘Archive’ button will be enabled:
2. After you click on the ‘Archive’ button, a popup will ask you to confirm you would like to archive the product.
Once a product has been archived, the action cannot be undone.
3. Once archived, the products will be available in the Product hub with a status of ‘archived’.
Archive SKUs
Retailer users will have the ability to archive SKUs to indicate that a SKU had previously been on sale but will no longer be sold.
SKUs can only be archived if they are currently ‘off sale’.
If a SKU is has never been on sale and will not be progressing, the SKU should be ‘cancelled’. If a SKU is currently ‘on sale’, users will have to wait for it to go ‘off sale’ before it can be archived.
How-to:
- To archive a SKU, find the SKU you would like to archive and click on the SKU’s context menu (the ‘…’ button). If the SKU can be archived you will see an ‘archive’ option:
2. After you click on the ‘Archive’ option, a popup will ask you to confirm you would like to archive the SKU.
Once a SKU has been archived, the action cannot be undone.
3. Once archived, the SKU will remain linked to its product and Bill of Materials with a status of ‘archived’.
