Task Hub
Users can access the Task Hub via the left-hand navigation panel:
- The Task Hub shows all the running tasks in a user's organisation, including tasks that cannot be completed by the user looking at them, e.g., tasks assigned to other members of the team.
- Task names which can be completed by the user will be blue/clickable. This will direct the user to that task.
- The Task Hub is where users can transfer or take tasks (one option will appear under the Action column).
To make it easier to navigate, the Tasks Hub has the following filters:
- Product filter
- Assignee filter
- Organisation filter
Note: if the task can be completed by me, I can click on the task name to access the task and I have the ability to transfer the task. If the task is assigned to another user, I can't click on the task name to access the task or transfer the task to another user.
The Product Details Page
Open a Products' details page by clicking on the Product Name from the Product Hub, accessed via the left-hand navigation panel:
Users with access to a product will be able to see the ‘Running Tasks’ tab on the product details page, which will show the details of all active tasks related to Bills of Materials linked to the product (it will not show any components' tasks). The information each user will be able to see will depend on their current access rights:
- Retailer users can see their own products. In their product pages, they have the right to see all the information and tasks related to their product.
- Product supplier users can see products from all retailers they supply to, but they cannot see a retailer’s full product catalogue, they can only see products and tasks related to them.
Tasks included are as follows:
- Create Bill of Materials task
- Complete Bill of Materials task
- Approve Bill of Materials task
- Confirm Bill of Materials Link task
This tab will help users know:
- If the creation of a specific Bill of Materials is in progress and its due date ('Complete Bill of Materials’ task)
- If the retailers have briefed this product for a specific supplier ('Create Bill of Materials’ task)
- If the retailers need to approve the use of an existing Bill of Materials for this specific product ('Confirm Bill of Materials Link’ task)
- If the retailers need to approve a Bill of Materials that has been submitted (‘Approve Bill of Materials’ task)
The Bill of Materials Details Page
Open a Bill of Materials' details page by clicking on the Bill Of Materials ID from the Bill of Materials Hub, accessed via the left-hand navigation panel:
All users with access to the Bill of Materials will be able to see the ‘Running Tasks’ tab on the Bill of Materials details page. This tab here shows the details of all active tasks related to the Bill of Materials and its Components. Both retailer users and product supplier users will have rights to see every running task.
Tasks included are as follows:
- Complete Component task
- Confirm Component task
- Complete Bill of Materials task
- Approve Bill of Materials task
- Confirm Bill of Materials link task
This new tab will help users know how the Bill of Materials is progressing:
- If the Bill of Materials is being worked on (‘Complete Bill of Materials’ task)
- If the components in the Bill of Materials need to be submitted or confirmed (‘Complete Component’ and ‘Confirm Component’ tasks)
- If the Bill of Materials is on approval with the retailer (‘Approve Bill of Materials’ task)
Note: if a Bill of Materials is ‘active’, the only possible running task is ‘Confirm Bill Of Materials Link’ tasks as a Bill of Materials can only be linked to a new product after it’s already been approved.
When users access an ‘In Progress’ or ‘Approval in Progress’ Bill of Materials, they will be able to see a card with the details of the running task for that Bill of Materials, the card will include the task name and task assignee details.
