Expired Documents

Introduction

Certification uploads to the Documents Hub can have an expiry date set. Once the document expires, this information will be displayed in multiple places, and users will have the option to upload a new file or modify the expiry date

Identifying Expired Documents

If a document has expired, users will be informed in several ways:

  • On the Documents Hub, an icon will be displayed next to the expiry date.

  • On the document details page, a banner will appear at the top of the page.

  • Any components linked to expired documents will display:

    • A banner at the top of the page
    • An icon next to the expiry date on the 'Certification' tab

Uploading a New Revision / Setting a New Expiry Date

You can go to the Documents Hub, click the three dots menu, and select 'Upload Revision' to upload a new revision. If you are already on the Document Details page, you can click on the 'Options' dropdown and select 'Upload Revision'.

Note: The ‘Upload Revision’ button will only be available if the document was uploaded from the domain you are currently in and is linked to at least one component.

If you are on the component page, you can click on 'Click here to update this certificate' button from the expiry details banner. This will take you to the Document Details page, where you can click on the 'Options' dropdown and select 'Upload Revision' to proceed.

Note: The ‘Click here to update this certificate’ button will only be available if the document was uploaded from the domain you are currently in and is linked to at least one component.

Once you click ‘Upload Revision’, the certification form will open in the ‘Upload Revision’ popup. You can then select the new file from your local device, fill in all mandatory fields, enter the new expiry date in the ‘Expiration Date’ field, and click ‘Add’.

Note: If you do not want to upload a new revision and only need to update the expiry date, you can select 'Edit' instead of 'Upload Revision', update the expiry date, and click 'Save'
